Author: LGBT advocates who expressed hope earlier this year that Obama might choose either Export-Import Bank director Fred Hochberg or former Arizona GOP Congressman Jim Kolbe as Commerce Secretary and make history with the first openly gay cabinet member will be disappointed this morning.
Obama has reportedly chosen John Bryson, former CEO of Edison International. He will make the announcement later this afternoon, according to CNN.
