Voters can cast their ballots in Tuesday’s statewide municipal general election from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at local polling locations

A new state law requires all voters to provide identification before a ballot can be issued. Acceptable forms of ID include a Utah driver’s license, an identification card issued by the state or any federal agency, a passport, a Utah concealed-weapons permit or a tribal identification card (with or without a photo.)

Some documents can be substituted in lieu of ID to provide evidence that a voter resides within the polling precinct. A complete list of those documents can be found on the state’s election Web site at www.elections.utah.gov.
