A Granite School District employee has been charged with using a school-issued credit card to make unauthorized purchases.
Ladonna Binkerd, 42, allegedly used the card to make purchases for more than $1,000, and the amount was noticed when the school district accountant became suspicious while reviewing charges for the supply account, according to charges filed Wednesday in 3rd District Court.
Court records say that Binkerd admitted several of the purchases were “personal in nature.”
Binkerd has been charged with theft by deception, a third-degree felony. Bail is set at $5,000.
